Public Safety Guide from the BCFPD.


This two-page guide provides timely information on fire and emergency medical services.  Topics include the benefits of automatic fire sprinkler systems, complimentary property inspections offered by the Barrington Fire Department, the District's Home Emergency Location Plan (HELP), and the Knox-Box rapid entry system in use by a growing number of District residents.

Barrington Township offers a variety of services to the
community and its residents.


 Service

Description

Handicapped
Parking Placards

Temporary cards available through the Township; permanent handicapped parking placards are available only from the Secretary of State's office. 

Free Notary Service 

Witness a signature or certify the validity of a document. 

Voter Registration 

Taken anytime during regular office hours.  Two forms of identification are required, at least one of which must show your current address. 

Food Pantry 

Available to qualifying Township residents.  Donations of non-perishable food items are always appreciated. 

The Angel Fund 

Money donated by individuals is available to Township residents who do not qualify for financial assistance elsewhere.  Financial assistance is in the form of a voucher, and is available only once a year per family. 

Drop-off Center 
(Eyeglasses) 

Old eyeglasses are recycled by the Lions Club.

(Flags) 

Old flags are disposed of properly by the Township office.
